The History of the Ranch
Instinct Nomade is first and foremost the story of a dream. The dream of a teenager who became an adult. The dream of making her passion her entire life. Over the years, the desire to share this passion came naturally. This is how Laure left her native country, France, with her family and her dream as her only luggage. But then why here? First of all for the majestic Saguenay Fjord, as beautiful as it is impetuous, but also for its warm and welcoming inhabitants. Surely one of them even played a special role through her attentiveness and her advice, always full of wisdom.
Our story
The story of Instinct Nomade began over 20 years ago, during a young French woman's first stay in Sacré-Coeur. Year after year, she returned, dreaming of one day settling on the North Shore to offer horseback riding expeditions. In 2019, along with her husband and their friend, she took the plunge: Laure, Fabien, and Frédéric left their French lives behind to finally settle in Sacré-Coeur.
All three of them "fell in love" with the magnificent territory of Quebec's North Shore, between the boreal forest, the Saguenay Fjord, the St. Lawrence River and its whales. Today, they offer stays, hikes and equestrian activities at their Ranch Instinct Nomade, and winter and summer activities with sled dogs at the "Ferme 5 étoiles" kennel.
